Confession

“ i stole a very famous LeCorbusier designer chair from an interior design shop the morning after it was burnt down. saw other people carrying really great stuff away and thought id do some looting too. unfortunately i didnt cover it up properly in the back of my car and a few hours later was confronted by the shop owner in the carpark who asked me if i had taken a chair from his shop in my car? worse still an old friend from school was helping the owner of the store clean up and recognised me! i went bright red. Then I lied and denied that it was his chair and quickly drove off. A few years later i reupholstered the chair nicely and sold it for a very good profit. i feel sick when ever i think about it and regret doing it. in fact i could never enjoy sitting in the stolen chair even when it was upholstered with new pony hide.”
